About Berkshire Hathaway
Berkshire Hathaway is the sprawling conglomerate built by Warren Buffett over six decades, combining wholly owned businesses spanning insurance (GEICO, Berkshire Hathaway Reinsurance), railroads (BNSF), energy (Berkshire Hathaway Energy), and manufacturing and retail, alongside one of the largest publicly traded equity portfolios in the world (including large stakes in Apple, Coca-Cola, and American Express, among others).
