Cory Mitchell is a professional trader, trading educator, and writer with extensive experience in day trading, swing trading, forex, currency markets, and technical analysis. Mitchell began his trading career as a proprietary trader, managing firm capital with compensation based on trading performance. After five years in proprietary trading, he transitioned to trading independently. As a Chartered Market Technician (CMT), Mitchell specializes in short- to medium-term technical trading strategies. He has also worked with Fortune 500 companies and smaller businesses, helping them manage currency exposure and risk while identifying opportunities in foreign exchange markets. Mitchell founded TradeThatSwing, an educational resource for day traders and swing traders. He has written extensively about financial markets and trading and has contributed to Imperialpedia, TradeThatSwing.com, and TheStreet.com/Forex. He has also delivered lectures and workshops at Canadian Society of Technical Analysts conferences and has authored trading books and educational courses. Mitchell earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Lethbridge.
